In interbank trade on Tuesday, the Pakistani Rupee lost 37 paisas value relative to the US Dollar (USD), finishing at Rs. 286.56 as opposed to Rs. 286.19 the day before. However, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reports that the open market rates for purchasing and selling dollars were Rs. 303 and Rs. 306, respectively. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of the Euro jumped by 49 paisas to close at Rs 306.59 as opposed to Rs 306.10 the previous day. The British pound increased by 82 paisas in value from its previous day’s closing of Rs 355.10 to trade at Rs 355.92, while the Japanese yen increased by one paisa to close at Rs 2.05. The exchange rates for the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham increased by 10 and 11 paisas, respectively, to close at Rs. 78.01 and Rs. 76.41.
