In interbank trade on Wednesday, the Pakistani Rupee lost 32 paisas value relative to the US Dollar (USD), finishing at Rs 286.88 as opposed to Rs 286.56 the day before. However, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reports that the open market rates for purchasing and selling dollars were Rs. 298.5 and Rs. 301, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the price of the euro dropped by 9 paisas to settle at Rs 306.50 from Rs 306.59 the previous day. The British pound’s exchange rate increased by 7 paisas to conclude at Rs 355.99 from its previous day’s closing price of Rs 355.92, while the Japanese Yen stayed steady and closed at Rs 2.05. The exchange rates for the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham increased by 09 and 08 paisas, respectively, to close at Rs. 78.10 and Rs. 76.49.
