The cyclone known as “Biparjoy” over the Arabian Sea keeps intensifying, posing a serious threat to the adjacent territories. The Meteorological Department predicts that Thatta, Mirpur Khas, Badin, and Sajawal will have 300 to 400 mm of severe rains and thunderstorms.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has proclaimed that over 50,000 residents of the villages of Keti Bandar, Jati, and Shah Bandar will be evacuated in order to prevent any danger to life or property, as they are the most threatened regions.
At least 2000 people of Badin have already left for safer areas.4 to 5 meters of sea wave height are anticipated in the next few days. While circling 600 km south of Karachi, the storm is traveling in the northwest. Residents of Karachi are advised to avoid the coast until the danger has passed.
