Oil and Gas Production Begins in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Local oil and gas production received good news when the Wali Batani well in Lucky Marwat unexpectedly began to produce gas and oil.
According to an OGDCL official, 300 mm FCD gas will be fed to the national grid each month from the new field, along with 30,000 barrels of crude oil generated from the well each month. Gas production will be linked to the national grid within the following 24 hours.
The daily gas output will increase to 50 mmfcd with the construction of two additional wells in the Lucky Marwat region’s Wali Batani sector.
According to experts, the total oil reserves in the Wali Btani field are 13 million barrels while the total reserves of gas are 225 billion cubic feet.
