Court issues non-bailable arrest warrant against today Shahbaz Gill

PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was given a non-bailable arrest warrant by a court in the nation’s capital on Tuesday in connection with a sedition case.

Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas issued more warrants because Mr. Gill did not show up in court for the hearing.

The PTI leader’s attorney requested a waiver of his client’s requirement to appear in court today. However, when Mr. Gill did not show up for the hearing, the prosecution asked the court to revoke his bail.

Following hearing from all sides, the judge accepted the prosecution’s plea and issued a non-bailable warrant. The suspect, according to him, had two choices: contest the decision or show up in court to have the warrant suspended.

The judge immediately asked Mr. Gill when he would be leaving the US for Pakistan. His attorney stated that he was unable to give a date because of his wife’s impending surgery.

The judge then put the case on hold until June 26.
